Implant-supported dentures are dentures that attach to implants that have been placed into the bone in the upper or lower jaw. They are removable for cleaning. For people that are unhappy with using messy adhesives, or who have an awkward or loose-fitting denture, supporting the denture with implants can improve their quality of life. Implant-supported dentures also enable the patient to bite and chew foods that are impossible with traditional dentures.

Implant-supported dentures require the placement of a few implants into the bone. The implants become anchors for the denture. Add-ons are positioned in the undersurface of the denture that connect to the implants. When placed in the mouth, the denture is secured to the implants and does not slip, rock, or move-even with biting and chewing.

Cleaning up the implant-supported denture is easy. You are still able to remove them easily and clean them. You will need to remove them at least once each day and clean them thoroughly. Although they provide additional support for your teeth, these dentures are to be removed prior to going to bed.
Implant-supported dentures can improve your look, self-esteem, and improve your quality of life. They feel and look similar to all-natural teeth.
